Dental prosthetics

Dental prosthetics is a branch of dentistry that deals with replacement of missing teeth, and placement of crowns, bridges, veneers and complete or partial prosthesis. Apart from its functional role, prosthetics also have an aesthetic role in the correction of existing teeth.

Dental prosthetics and implant prosthetics have achieved the greatest success owing to application of the latest technologies and materials. Precision and production speed have increased, while function and appearance of the prosthetic work have been greatly perfected.

Replacement and correction of teeth is required because of inherited or acquired irregularities pertaining to teeth appearance and number. At certain stage in life, the existing teeth lose their aesthetic and functional role.
